iLEAD Speech and Debate Runs the Table

iLEAD Speech and Debate sent 31 students to the James Monroe “I Have a Dream” tournament. We won DEBATE SWEEPSTAKES (our first ever!), SPEECH SWEEPSTAKES (by nearly 80 points), and OVERALL SWEEPSTAKES (by a margin of over 100 points)…against over 30 of the best teams in West and East Los Angeles. Kate Farwell won the TOP SPEAKER in Parliamentary Debate for the second year in a row. Sean Rogers won three different championships, tying for TOP OVERALL SPEAKER. Ori, Carly, Callie, and Cat — all middle schoolers — made the final rounds of this high school, varsity level tournament!
