Glider Program on Campus This Tuesday

As part of iLEAD Student Aerospace Projects, SCVi learners will get an up-close look at the gliders that are part of our aerospace education, this Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the quad.

Through a partnership with Southern California Soaring Academy, learners in 8th grade are immersed in an aeronautics project that provides the opportunity to approach science, language arts, history, math, and art through the lens of aviation, culminating with first instructional flights in a glider on March 9 and 10 at Cyrstalaire Airport in Antelope Valley.
