College Connect: Where High School Meets Higher Education

What if your child could start college while in high school and earn college credits on their safe, supportive high school campus?

At Santa Clarita Valley International School (SCVi) a tuition-free public charter school here in Castaic, you can! At SCVi, we’re launching College Connect, a game-changing program that brings college professors to our campus, so your teen can earn real college credits while still enjoying their high school experience in a community that knows and supports them all the way.

Starting in 2026-27, College Connect offers three distinct pathways:

  • Biliteracy Pathway builds on our K-5 dual immersion foundation, continuing in grades 6-8 through Spanish electives and a middle school non-credit college class that introduces learners to college-level concepts in a low-pressure environment. In high school (grades 9-12), students earn both a College of the Canyons Language Certificate of Specialization and California’s Seal of Biliteracy through Spanish college courses and language-adjacent classes like Latin music and literature.

The experience includes service learning with younger students, organizing cultural events on campus, and developing leadership through mentoring underclassmen.

  • Launchpad to College starts preparing students in middle school with a pressure-free non-credit college class introduction. In high school, all students begin with Counseling 110 to build essential college success skills, then earn up to 12 transferable CAL-GETC core credits across social sciences, behavioral sciences, and arts/humanities (including Ethnic Studies). Students can even add more courses through IB English and IB History

The result? Students enter four-year universities with multiple credits, cutting both time and tuition costs while building confidence with college-level coursework in a supportive environment.

  • Aerospace Pathway extends our existing TK-12 Aerospace Pathway that brings STEAM to life through immersive, hands-on projects and relevant content connections. Students choose from manufacturing, engineering, or computer design courses, applying their high school aerospace foundation to real college-level projects with industry-relevant skills. Seniors even get access to a local, state-of-the-art Advanced Technology Center.

Here’s what makes College Connect different: we welcome any student ready to opt-in. Struggling? We don’t kick you out, instead, we adjust, support, and keep cheering. Our College Career Center provides dedicated study space, and every student gets individualized counseling, because college readiness isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Ready to give your child a head start on college without sacrificing the high school experience? Enrollment for 2026-27 at SCVi is open now.

Free to think. Inspired to lead.
