Full-Scale Glider on Campus This Tuesday
As a tune-up for an upcoming learner-soaring day, the Southern California Soaring Academy is bringing a glider to SCVi to give learners who are studying aerodynamics an up-close and personal look at the flying machine Tuesday morning this week!

Author Stephanie Storey Visits 6th Grade

Our 6th graders were treated to a guest visit from author Stephanie Storey on Wednesday last week. Ms. Storey’s novel is a work of historical fiction about the rivalry between Michelangelo and DaVinci. The learners were impressed with her knowledge about the history of these two great artists and the time period, as well as the number of revisions and edits the author went through before publication. Stephanie Storey’s book Oil and Marble is available through Amazon (don’t forget to order through SCVi’s AmazonSmile account) now and will be in stores on March 1.
