Dear Families,
Recently, learners represented SCVi at the DreamUp to Space STARward STEM Conference. They presented DreamUp Team Bamboo‘s experiment to experts, educators, and students gathered at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation Center for Space Education at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Their experiment is designed to investigate the effects of microgravity on bamboo growth, structural integrity, oxygen production, and nutritional value. Their experiment will soon be launching to the International Space Station.
As a reminder, we will be closed on Monday, February 17, for Presidents’ Day and look forward to reconnecting on Tuesday. Speaking of connection — at SCVi, we truly believe that strong relationships are at the heart of a great learning experience. It’s the kind of environment where learners, facilitators, and families all feel supported and respected.
