Dear Learners and Families,
We want to extend our thanks and praise to each and every learner, facilitator, and staff member who went above and beyond in preparation for this year’s Winter Production. It was a smashing success! We could not be more impressed or proud. A special tip of the hat to Mr. Ruben and the Middle School Jazz Band for providing the live music for each performance as well as to Becker, Cordy, and the Upper School Tech Department for all the behind-the-scenes magic. We hope you all enjoyed the show!
As February begins, we are proud to share that our spring semester is off to a strong start. Winter MAP testing is complete, and many new projects are in full swing. Be sure to ask your children about their newly launched projects, and challenge them to share the driving question. What is a driving question, you may ask? A thought-provoking driving question is the catalyst for any PBL experience. This open-ended question should relate to a real-world problem or phenomenon that learners find interesting and important. Learners will sustain inquiry as they strive to uncover topics and generate solutions. A well-written driving question will inspire learners to seek information, solve problems, and pursue passions.
In closing, for all of us who are always trying to find a way to create more time to accomplish all we want to do, this month we actually have an entire extra day, as it is a leap year! We do have learners with February 29 birthdays, so be sure to find out who they are and wish them four years of birthday wishes!
With gratitude,
Ms. Padovich, Dr B, Ms. Roffredo & Ms. Toval
