Monday message 01.07.2019

Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful holiday break. I had a wonderful chance to spend time with my family and unplug, and I am super excited and ready for the second semester!

I want to be sure to invite you to a few events I’m personally hosting over the next few weeks.  The first is my monthly Coffee with Kaufman. If you have not attended, this is a chance to chat in an informal meeting. It’s the best way to ask questions and be part of the solution. At this month’s meeting we will also be discussing our new Parent Safety and Parent Think Tank Committees.

Also coming up on Wednesday, January 16th, are the Prospective Family Meeting for new families, as well as the Bridging to Middle School and Bridging to High School meetings for our current families. These two meetings give you a clear understanding of what our learners can expect moving into middle school/high school at SCVi.

The following week, on January 22nd, I will be hosting a special parent university on how to use Ways of Council and the 7 Habits in the home. Raising kids in a digital world makes parenting even harder, and I look forward to sharing with you some techniques I use in my home with my own teenagers that actually work!

Lastly, our annual Winter Show will take place on January 31st and February 1st. Our learners are preparing something special for this 10-year anniversary show at SCVi.

As always, I look forward to seeing you all, and feel free to drop in anytime for a visit!

Mrs. Kaufman
