A Taste of Tradition: SCVi DLI Learners and Families Celebrate Hispanic Heritage

On October 10, SCVi’s Dual Language Immersion 3rd-5th graders held a wonderful Hispanic Culture celebration, showcasing the learners’ skills and engaging families in a fun cultural experience.
Led by Dual Language Immersion Program 3/4/5 Facilitator Lindsay Martinez, learners performed two Spanish tongue-twisters and two Spanish songs, sharing what they’ve learned in class. They also proudly displayed a collection of their craft projects. A lively round of Hispanic Countries Bingo was a hit, offering a fun and interactive way to demonstrate learning about different nations.
Many learners chose to participate by wearing clothing and accessories representing Hispanic culture, adding beautiful color and tradition to the event. To cap off the celebration, a taco truck was available outside for families and learners to enjoy.
It was a fantastic morning celebrating language and culture!
