SCVi PTSA Is Looking for Leaders: Volunteer by March 21

Would you like to get involved, share fresh ideas, and make a positive impact on our school? 

SCVi PTSA is holding their first ever Executive Board election for the 2025-26 school year! 

Become a founding member! Volunteer for one of the following positions by March 21: 

  • President: As the team leader, the president oversees and coordinates the work of the executive board. 
  • Executive Vice President: Works closely with the president. Helps facilitate a smooth transition between incoming and outgoing officers and committee chairs.
  • Secretary: Takes minutes at board and association meetings. Maintains and preserves PTA records and important documents to pass on at the end of the term. 
  • Treasurer: Maintains permanent records to track unit funds and financial transactions. Pays all PTA bills as authorized by board or association. Prepares reports for board and association meetings. 
  • VP of Membership: Responsible for creating, implementing, and promoting a membership campaign, providing membership reports at board and association meetings, and collecting dues.
  • Historian: Documents the year for the unit in pictures, journals, and keepsakes. Creates a memory book. Helps with Yearbook Committee. Gives presentation on Founders Day to association. 
  • Parent/Teacher Coordinator (appointed): Works with facilitator(s) and parents/guardians, as a parent contact and liaison, to build stronger family-school partnerships. 
  • Communications/Social Media (appointed): Develops a communication plan and schedule for social media posts that align with the PTA calendar. Your goal is to gain followers and keep families well informed. Works closely with the historian. 
  • Fundraising (appointed): Focuses on raising the amount of funds needed to meet the unit’s budget. Presents reports on proposed fundraising activities at board and association meetings for approval, and reports on the success of fundraising campaigns following completion. 
  • Parliamentarian (appointed): Assists the president to manage meetings and advises on parliamentary procedure. Chairs Bylaws committee to review and revise Bylaws. Arranges nominating committee.

Elections will be held in May. At this meeting, you must become a paid SCVi PTSA member ($10) and be present to vote and serve on the board.
