SCVi Welcomes Hsinchu Girls High School for Cultural Exchange

At Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School, we focus on developing globally minded learners, and last week we had the honor of hosting 13 students from Hsinchu Girls High School in Taiwan. Our Student Ambassadors and Directors Chad Powell and Martha Spansel-Pellico officially welcomed the students, and we jumped into a week of learning and sharing.

From classroom collaborations to learning about one another’s cultures, we packed a lot into the week — even with an unexpected early dismissal and day off due to the Hughes Fire (we’re so glad everyone was safe!). On Friday, it was hard to say goodbye to our new friends, but we’re grateful for the memories and connections made.
