On March 9, our whole community at SCVi enjoyed our Glider on Campus event! Special thanks to Edwards Air Force Base for sharing the excitement and love of flight with young people and the entire SCVi school community!
This year, SCVi’s 8th grade learners are immersed in the Glider Project, which provides the opportunity to understand the basics of physics and explore the impact of flight now and in the past by asking and answering this question: How can we soar up in all aspects of our lives?
Learners interacted with pilots around the aircraft as they moved through four stations. They also met with a pilot guest presenter. All SCVi learners had the chance to visit the glider and talk with the pilots. Family members joined too!
Yesterday SCVi enjoyed their Glider on Campus event! Thank you to @EdwardsAFB for sharing the excitement and love of flight with young people and their families as part of the school's Glider Project.
