SCVi’s Upper School (grades 9-12) is adding two new pathways to its Career Technical Education program:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

• Remote Pilot Certification<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Career and technical education (CTE) curriculum prepares students for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers, and SCVi has been building its CTE program to prepare learners for careers in the Arts and Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

  The new <\/span>Art Pathway<\/b> expands our learners’ skills, technical knowledge, and professional know-how in fields of traditional and digital art. Learners will jump-start their careers by discovering a variety of business opportunities, build portfolios for college admissions and careers, and learn to manage themselves as independent artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

  The new <\/span>Remote Pilot Pathway<\/b> combines aviation and engineering to prepare learners for both self-employment and industry drone piloting careers, as well as other careers in aviation, aeronautics, entertainment, and more. Learners will work toward a Part 107 license to enable them to fly drones outdoors in professional settings. Also, much of the work in Part 107 is directly relevant to those wishing to pursue a commercial or private pilot’s license.<\/span><\/p>\n

  These two new pathways toward popular careers join our existing pathways in <\/span>Stage & Technical Management<\/b>, <\/span>Performing Arts<\/b>, <\/span>Gaming & VR Production<\/b>, and <\/span>Theme Park Design<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
