SCVi, iLEAD's Founding School

Monday Message – December 16, 2019

Dear SCVi Families,

A special thank-you to everyone who joined us for Ms. Olivia Riddle’s debut as our Lower School Theater Director this past weekend! Our 3rd through 8th Grade Players presented Once Upon a Decade, and it was a smashing success! We are all so impressed by all of the hard work that the entire theater team put into the show to make it such a funny — or dare we say punny — lively show! We cannot wait to see what the spring semester has in store. If your child is interested in participating in either the Lower School or Upper School Theater Program, please know that they are all encouraged to join!

We also would like to congratulate all of our learners, facilitators, and support staff as just about every grade level has completed their MAP NWEA winter benchmark testing. Although test scores are not our only form of measurement, your children do put in a lot of energy and focus when it comes time for their benchmarks, so please ask your child how many points they grew. We will be sharing the first semester Reports of Progress in mid-January, so please encourage your children to complete any unfinished assignments if they have not yet done so. By putting first things first and getting all of our work tasks from the first semester completed, we know we will be able to come back to school in the New Year ready to begin with a fresh perspective.

As we head into our Winter Break at the end of this week, we would like to thank you all again for all of your support this first school semester.   We know it truly takes a village, and we appreciate all of the time and energy you have shared to make our school community a place we’re all proud to call ours. We hope you all have the opportunity to spend some time “sharpening the saw” with friends, families, and loved ones. We look forward to seeing everyone return in January well rested and ready to greet 2020 with purpose and zest for what the New Year will bring!

Happy holidays!

And there’s a hand, my trusty fiere!
And gie’s a hand o’ thine!
—”Auld Lang Syne”

With gratitude,

The SCVi Leadership Team
