Dear Learners & Families,
Speaking of synergy, thank you all for the huge push for our Step It Up FUNdraiser. It is amazing to see how so many people are stepping up to support our school!
We also had a very successful English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) monthly meeting. We encourage and welcome all of you to join any or all of our committee meetings. Synergy, our 6th Habit, is defined as teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. We need each and every one of you to make our school the best it can be. Together we are “the village,” synergizing our strengths, with learners, parents, and staff all leading. Some of our committees include the Wellness Committee, ELAC, and iSupport. Be on the lookout for upcoming meetings so you can share in the adventure of creating solutions on our continued mission to improve and strengthen our school.
Last but certainly not least, a huge shoutout to our learners for another successful week of POLs at SCVi. Seventh grade presented their learning through a gallery walk of their scale-model castles. They confidently explained their designs and engineering as well as the research that went into creating their castles. Well done, 7th grade!
In this upcoming week, we hope you have the opportunity to spend some quality time as a family both Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 6, which are learner-free days. We will all be sharpening the saw in various ways. Our learners will have time to decompress from the first few months of the second semester, and our staff will collaborate in our professional learning communities.
We are all preparing to march into spring! Sunday, March 8, is the beginning of daylight saving time, so remember it’s time to spring our clocks forward one hour.
In closing, we must also inform you that our Director of Culture & Operations, Mrs. Nicole Padovich, will be out for the next few weeks. Fortunately, we consider ourselves to be a collaborative leadership team in that our synergy is strong. We are confident that we will continue providing the support and leadership to you all, our entire SCVi school family and community.
In her absence, should you need any assistance or have any concerns, please refrain from contacting Mrs. Padovich directly. You may continue to contact our leadership team at leadership@scvi-k12.org.
You are also encouraged to contact any of us directly for any grade level specific questions or concerns at:
