SCVi Equestrian Team 2017-2018 Season

The SCVi Equestrian Team participated in the first show of the Saddleseat and Western School League (SWSL) season, in affiliation with the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) on Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center (LAEC) in Burbank. 

The team performed very well! Josie Croasmun placed second in Varsity Saddle Seat English Equitation, first place in Varsity Saddle Seat English Pleasure, first place in Varsity Western Equitation, and second place in Varsity Western Horsemanship. Makayla Kurfess placed first in Novice Saddle Seat English Equitation and second place in Novice Saddle Seat English Pleasure. 

The SCVi team competed against teams from schools such as La Cañada High, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Village Christian School, Hart High School,  Bishop Alemany High School, John Burroughs High, Immaculate Heart, Hawthorne School, Westridge School, De Toledo High School, among many other schools. The next show is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at LAEC.
