National School Counseling Week

Dear SCVi Families,

National School Counseling Week 2023 (#NSCW23) is February 6-10, and the theme is “School Counselors: Helping Students Dream Big.” This annual weeklong celebration, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), draws awareness to the tremendous impact of school counselors within our schools.

Why are our school counselors important?

  • They play a crucial role in helping learners succeed academically and personally.
  • They provide a supportive environment for learners to address their challenges, develop essential life skills, and make informed decisions about their future.
  • They collaborate with facilitators, caregivers, and school directors to create a positive school culture.

This week is the perfect opportunity for our school, learners, families, and community to recognize and show appreciation for the work that our school counselors do to support the academic, personal/social, and career development of our learners.

Share how your school counselor helps you dream big! Tag us in a social media post or send your note of appreciation and photo (optional) to communications@ileadcalifornia.org, and we will post it on social media to celebrate our counseling team with you!

With gratitude,

The SCVi Administration Team
