Founded in 2008, Santa Clarita Valley International (SCVi) Charter School serves a diverse population of TK-12 students in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. SCVi offers seat-based, independent study, and home study programs.
SCVi is the founding school in the network of iLEAD California charter schools and is chartered by the nationally recognized William S. Hart Union High School District. We believe in focusing on the whole child and promoting social and emotional growth, because education is about more than just high test scores; it’s about equipping the whole child for success. SCVi is also committed to incorporating technology and real-world experiences that bring classroom learning to life.
Our vision is to use project-based and social-emotional learning concepts to inspire and motivate lifelong learners with the skills they need to lead. We incorporate technology into every component of our curriculum, and we value and encourage development of leadership skills by inspiring confidence and character in each of our unique learners.
We want our learners to be lifelong learners, empathetic citizens, authentic individuals, and design thinkers. This requires a grounding in language arts, mathematics, technology, history, science, the arts, design, and humanities, as well as the need to feel at home in the world.
