IB News

Last week saw the final reveal of the 10th grade personal projects, which gave learners a useful insight into studying at IB level, as so much of the work at IB involves independent learning and perseverance. Several of the learners indicated that they would be interested in developing their projects for the Extended Essay, which is part of the core diploma. It’s fantastic to see the skills being embedded before learners begin their junior year.

As part of SCVi’s commitment to developing the IB program, I am looking to set up a parent committee with which I would love you to become involved. It is open to all of you, from lower school to upper school, regardless of whether your learner has started any IB courses yet. Rest assured that there is no prior knowledge of IB needed. I am interested in seeing how we would like the program to develop to become a thriving and essential part of the SCVi community. Please email me if you would be interested in being a part of this group and I will be in touch to look at when we can meet after the exam period.
