IB News

I’d like to invite you to the first IB parent committee meeting, Monday, June 10th, at 3 p.m. here at SCVi. This meeting is open to all parents at the school regardless of whether your learner is in the lower, middle, or upper school. The purpose of the meeting is to establish a greater sense of community and understanding of the IB program at SCVi. Although only a number of SCVi learners take IB classes, we are an IB World School, which means that the aims and values of the the organization filter through all of the SCVi curriculum.

Our school is also undergoing our five-year review with the IB, a process which welcomes and values parents’ feedback. I am also looking to begin this process with you and looking at how parents can be more involved in this, in addition to how you feel I can fully support your learner as they approach IB lessons. If this feels like something you would like to be involved with, I’d love to see you at the meeting. I will also look at establishing monthly meetings once we return to school next semester.

Please let me know if you are interested in coming, or if you would like any more information.
