Monday message 08.24.2020

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year at SCVi Charter School! We’d like to extend a special welcome to all the new families joining us this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well!

Our goal at SCVi is to work together to provide our learners with a rich learning environment. Our vision is to always put kids first! Our belief and philosophy are that all learners can learn, and we need to discover how each child learns so we can support each and every learning style. We want all of our learners to thrive, no matter what learning environment we find ourselves in, and in all ways possible. Our hope is that all children will continue to love school. We want to nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, warm, and caring as well as fun!

Although this year looks different from any other year, we are dedicated to providing your children a memorable, interactive, engaging distance learning experience. At SCVi, we are proud of our approach to social-emotional learning and goal-setting.

Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationships we build within our community, and this is especially important at this time. We understand that now more than ever teamwork with our families is essential. SCVi greatly appreciates the support you provide at home to help your children meet their learning goals.

We would like to welcome a few new members to the SCVi family.

Please welcome our new facilitators:

  • Audrey Godde: 4th/5th grade facilitator
  • Brent Call: 4th/5th grade facilitator
  • Renee Stump: 6th grade math facilitator

And please join us in welcoming the following Student Support staff members, available to our families through our partnership with our iLEAD California Student Support Team:

  • Erin Luchterhand
  • Caroline Blasi
  • Emily Dunys
  • Dana Crucil
  • Kim Poole
  • Chris Jones
  • Shannon Nguyen
  • Sylvia Chung

Finally, we would like to thank the Scarlet Foundation. Without their support, we would not have many of the programs that make SCVi so unique and successful. Please consider contributing via the Scarlet Foundation.

As a leadership team, we are so grateful to work with you and your children this year. If you need to reach us for any questions anytime, please email leadership@scvi-k12.org.

With gratitude,

The SCVi Leadership Team
Nicole Padovich, Director, Upper School and Operations
Nessa Roffredo, Director, Lower School
Tina Toval, Leadership Resident
