Dear SCVi Family,

Thank you all who joined us this weekend at the Winter Boutique. The trees were amazing, and it was great to see our learners and families!

We are approaching the end of our first semester, and I would like to say how amazing our learners have been while being faced with all the hurdles thrown their way. Please take some time as a family to celebrate their accomplishments and their grit.

As you know, we maintain a unique emphasis on using methods that foster our learners’ social-emotional development and personal strengths. Twice a year, your learner does a self-assessment on the following Character Lab traits. This is a great opportunity for them to see areas they feel they are strong in, and to see what areas they may need to work on.

Please consider reviewing our Character Lab Growth Card with your child and have discussions around areas where they feel strong and where they would like to improve. Perhaps share your own personal areas of strength and where you, too, would like to grow. Discuss examples of how you can practice together as a family.

As we work toward the end of this semester, continue to celebrate your child’s growth and remember to create opportunities to rest. We are close to the finish line for the fall semester, and we are so proud of our learners’ beautiful growth as young leaders!

With gratitude,

Nicole Padovich

School Director of Culture and Operations
