Dear SCVi Families,
The first week of school has passed. Your learners spent the time getting to know their facilitators, classmates, and our campus. They helped create norms, and were introduced to the structures to ease them into the school year. Transitions can be challenging, and our goal in the first couple of weeks is to build a strong foundation as a class in order to be able to dive deeply into our learning.
Please know that attendance is crucial to learners’ success in school. Regular attendance, arriving to school on time, and being ready to learn is an important facet to social interaction, project exploration and valuable learning opportunities. Absences add up. Let’s work together to keep them down.
This upcoming week we will begin assessments to better understand each learner’s strengths and challenges, in order to work with our families and learners to create the best Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) we can. Please note K-5 have a minimum day on Thursday, Aug. 31.
Finally, don’t forget to attend BINGHETTI this Wednesday! Bingo and spaghetti, no better match has ever been made. Remember when you support our Foundation Team, you’re helping to provide our programs with opportunities and support.
Have a fabulous Week!
