Join Us at the Santa Clarita River Cleanup!

Saturday, Sept. 23, 8-11 a.m.

2017 Location: Behind the shopping center at 18386 Soledad Canyon Road

Come help clean a portion of the Santa Clara River… the longest free-flowing river and one of the last two natural river systems remaining in Southern California. Be a part of the solution for a better environment by helping to preserve the river’s natural beauty and variety of wildlife. To date, thousands of volunteers have collected over 422,000 pounds of trash and debris from the Santa Clara River and its tributaries!

Pre-Registration will be required again this year but we have a convenient, web-based volunteer registration system. You will need to create an account first. If you have signed up for City Recreation classes, you may already have an account. *If you need assistance with volunteer registration, email volunteers@santa-clarita.com or call 661-250-3708.

Deja Munn will be at the cleanup site by 8 a.m. on the day of the event. Wear your SCVi shirts (or bright blue if you do not have a shirt before the event) and meet Deja and the SCVi group to sign in and pose for a group photo. Let’s work together to show how our SCVi kids and families give back to our community! Contact Deja Munn if you have questions about the SCVi portion of the event: deja.munn@scvi-k12.org
