May 23: 4/5 Revolutionary War Presentation of Learning
Wednesday, May 23
2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Hear ye! Hear ye! Fourth and fifth-grade learners are diving deep into Colonial America during our Road to Revolution project guided by the driving question: “How can living a life during the start of America teach me to be an open-minded citizen?”
Throughout the project, learners are reading historical fiction novels, completing webquests, penning opinion writing pieces, creating infographics (partnering with 6th grade), and even experiencing a “tax day” event that enabled learners to get a glimpse of what it felt like to be a citizen of the 13 colonies living with “taxation without representation.” The presentation of learning is May 23 from 2 to 3 p.m.
