Meet Daniel Prasch: SCVi’s Integrated Science Facilitator and Aerospace Pathway Leader

Meet Daniel Prasch. New to SCVi this year as our integrated science teacher, he’s also taking the reins of our exciting of our TK-12 Aerospace Career-Connected Learning Pathway. Mr. Daniel’s passion for aerospace is evident, and his diverse experiences and adventurous spirit make him the perfect guide to inspire our learners to reach for the stars. 

Mr. Daniel has traveled and lived all over the world but grew up in Castaic and is so happy to be back.

Here are some fun facts about Mr. Daniel:

• Most adventurous thing ever done: Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda, and skydiving into the Victoria Nile!
• Secret talent: Ability to keep a secret!
• Favorite beverage: A vanilla shake from In-N-Out.
• Superpower wish: Teleportation – I’d travel the stars, visit faraway planets and help unravel the secrets of the universe.
• Favorite action movie: Lawrence of Arabia (while more of an epic story, it has got many action sequences – all based upon real history!)
• One person you could listen to for the rest of your life: Daft Punk (though they’re a duo, so does that even count?) If not, Hans Zimmer!
• Last movie that you enjoyed: Alien.
• What you wanted to be when you were 5: An astronaut!
• Cause that’s dear to you: providing a good education regardless of your background.
• Early bird or night owl: Early bird. 5 AM. I have my dog to thank for much of that.
• Something you wish you knew at age 19: That life is going to be a great adventure.
