Greetings from your Leadership Team!
The multicultural celebration is an event that began in our first year. At the time, we had 110 learners and our school site consisted of five classrooms. Our first families contributed dishes from their cultures, and the entire school sat down and celebrated the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
We’ve grown a bit since then, but on this Friday, Nov. 17, we will celebrate and enjoy dishes from each other’s homes. We ask if each learner can bring a dish from home to feed up to 24 learners. This is a great opportunity to pass down that family recipe, and teach your child how to prepare it. See the message below for more information, to volunteer, and for food prep guidelines.
We welcome families to join us on this day — please take us up on this offer. It’s an opportunity for us to enjoy each other’s company, as well as learn more about each other’s cultures.
We wish all our families a Thanksgiving break to be filled with gratitude, company of loved ones, and time to relax.
