We would like to share this information with you because it affects our youth.

According to the County of Los Angeles, Public Health:

California, Los Angeles county is rapidly facing a growing number of tragic deaths affecting the youth and adult population due to overdose of Fentanyl. Fentanyl is an opioid drug that is used for severe pain. Recently, our state and county continue to deal with this drug being counterfeited into pills and sold to our youth. Many times teens buy Fentanyl, not knowing what it is, and think it is less harmful. In reality, Fentanyl is causing overdose and death. Naloxone/ Narcan is a life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.

Parents, children, and teens can learn more and attend a virtual session. This virtual session is important and will help parents, children, and teens how to recognize an opioid overdose and how to help save lives by learning about Fentanyl and Naloxone.
