Chalk Art Festival

A huge shoutout to SCVi learners Lauren Mukherjee (IB art senior), Mateo Bokun (IB art senior), and Marielen Cabrera (10th grade) who participated in the Old Town Newhall Chalk Art Festival last weekend. With a theme of “Wonder, Wit and Whimsy,” Lauren designed a giant orange Octopus with a contrasting color of blue around it and decorated the rest of the background with secondary colors which made the artwork eye-catching. The learners worked together all day into the night on their masterpiece. “I am so proud how devoted they were and hard working!” said IB Visual Art Facilitator Yoonhee Aprahamian.
